I got a new Sony with Windows 8, moving up from old HP with Vista. I used to use Windows Mail as a client to download/sync to Mail2World. Now mail doesn't do it if you use POP3. I don't want to buy Outlook (or Office) so I am trying to use Opera Mail. How do I use Emlbridge to get my old Windows mail .eml files into Opera. Or is there another better way to do it? Or is there a another e-mail client I can use?

The emlBridge application will work as it should. The first thing you need to do is to export the EML file from the Vista computer. You can install either emlMerge or simply export the mail using File > Export. Once you have the EML file, install Thunderbird instead of Opera Mail and import the EML file through emlMerge. Thunderbird is a dedicated email client that works like Outlook, only that's free.
